Our Story

Thank you for taking the time to learn about NMLR. I am so excited and passionate about this rescue. I am dedicated to taking all the appropriate steps to make sure this rescue is reputable, trustworthy, and dedicated to furr-friends needing safe and loving homes. 

From a very early age, I had a love for animals of all kinds (well except snakes and spiders) and have always had pets in my home. From always wanting to stop and save the stray dog on the side of the road, being the one everyone called when they found a kitten or hurt bird, and then working in the veterinary field for 15+ years, I knew I wanted to do more. So, I began fostering for an amazing local rescue and was the first to say yes when I saw those cute puppies needing a foster home. That sparked a fire, and I knew quickly I wanted to begin my own rescue and have my own stories of saved pets placed in happy, safe, loving homes. I couldn't fathom the thought of all the animals in shelters; scared, lonely, and afraid, so I decided I could do more. I could build my own rescue. I could dedicate my time and passion to saving more of our furr-friends (especially puppies and smaller breeds).  So, Nothing Mutt Love Rescue was born!

I want to thank the people in my life who have supported me in this journey especially Scott, Deidre, Jenifer and my children. I could not have gotten this far without you. I look forward to watching NMLR grow and be successful.
