On our "available pets" page, scroll all the way to the end and you will see our contact us form. Once you email us, we will reply with our adoption application. 

First, we require that you submit an application on the pet(s) you are interested in. From there, we will review your application and contact your references.  Once your application is approved, we will require a home visit which can be combined with a meet and greet with the pet of interest.  If we feel that this is a good fit for both the pet and the family, we will approve your adoption.

Our adoption fee is $300.00.  This fee covers a set of 4 Distemper/Parvo vaccines, a rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, as well as a microchip for your pet.

A home visit is just simply us making a brief visit to your home to ensure a safe place for a pet.  We are not there to determine your income or evaluate how nice your home is, just simply to confirm it is a safe environment for our pets in need.

This first depends on the pet's age. However, we pride ourselves in how quickly we respond to inquiries and understand how exciting it is to find the pet you have been looking for. Once you submit your application, references are called, adopter(s) are approved and you have scheduled your home visit/meet and greet, then we are good to go.  Most of this depends on how quickly the adopter responds and can go as quick as a few days to a week or two.

All pets must be 8 weeks old before we will let them go out of their foster homes into their furr-ever home.

Anyone can apply for a pet, however we process applications in the order they were received. Once your application has been submitted and we are in contact about approval and moving to the next step, we will hold off on processing other applications for this pet unless the current potential adopter is not responsive in a timely manner.  We want to be fair to everyone who is applying.

This depends on the age of the pet or how long you want us to hold the pet.  In situations where the puppy is not of age to leave the foster, or if you have decided after a meet and greet that you want to adopt but cannot get the pet for a couple of days, YES we require a $100.00 non-refundable deposit. NMLR will then hold that pet for you until you are able to take home. This deposit ensures your commitment to the adoption. If, for any reason, you change your mind once you have agreed to adopt, you will not get the deposit back.
